USB Video Device (WDM)
Hi,
We recently got a mail from our user seeking help in installing FaceTime for PC. As we all know, Facetime is a very popular video messaging app for Apple products which comes for free of cost. But he wanted to download Facetime on his Windows 10 machine. So, we have written a complete guide on downloading FaceTime for Windows PC/7/8/xp/8.1/10.
Microsoft rolled out the automatic update to the Windows 10 Fall Creators edition (late 2017). Windows has duly proceeded to update itself in Bootcamp, but the camera is no longer recognised. It seems to be a driver issue. However, Windows refuses to install the existing driver for the camera. The message says it's 'not intended for this platform'.
- I have a 2017 MacBook Pro running Windows 10 Pro via BootCamp. The laptop has a 720p camera called 'FaceTime HD Camera' which works fine with the Windows 10 Camera app. It works fine with most webcam enabled sites in Chrome, FireFox and Edge, it works fine with ManyCam.
- Install Apple MacBook laptop drivers for Windows 10 x64, or download DriverPack Solution software for automatic drivers intallation and update.
Facetime Camera Driver Update
I've tried uninstalling the camera in Windows, and using the built-in function to 'update' the driver. Neither has worked.
